ok, it's not Indonesian. There may be one in Georgetown which was
so-so++ many years ago. There is one in Wheaton which is so-so-- many
years ago. I've only been to Kopitiam once & they were still settling
in to their new location & it was sev. years ago, but i went to its
predecessor in Wheaton OFTEN & loved it!!
there is a chain called Penang & I think has a downtown location .
Some things were excellent; some tasted of being a chain.
TONS of excellent Thai restaurants. A fabulous Chinese rest. in
Wheaton.

PS, feel free to ask me any questions about specific rest's. J
Thank you - this is great information! I am happy with Malaysian, as well,
and my husband has never had it, so he will be enthusiastic, too!
I grew up (and my parents still live) not far from Wheaton, Silver Spring,
etc., so I am familiar with the Thai restaurants in MD. DC, and NOVA. My
first Thai experience - wow, 21 years ago when I was 14 - was at Thai Derm
on Bonifant Street in downtown SS, and I still go there when I am in town!
Thanks again, Judy - we appreciate the help!
